For this Saturday post I give you my now completed µRV. It is a 1992 truck with a cargo cap on the back that was used in my furniture making business at the beginning of this millennium. I started changing it to my one-person RV about six years ago. For those who don’t know the letter µ is Greek for micro so it is my micro-one-person-RV and it fits me like a glove.
I was really looking forward to getting it out again this year but the pandemic had other plans. Instead of taking my 26th trip and more I have spent the time making improvements. I don’t think there is a thing that was originally done that remains. Most things have changed at least three times. After a few trips I get to thinking that if xxx were done this way it would be better. My latest improvement is making a wind deflector on the front that should give me a few more mpg’s on the road.
Although I haven’t used it this year I have spent hours changing this and that. Hopefully, next year I can try all that out.

That looks surprisingly roomy inside and in excellent repair, though I’d expect nothing less from you. With the huge uptick in RV sales and the number of people flocking to campgrounds, the RV/mini camper lifestyle is in full swing. By next year, you should be good to go and actually find most camping sites open.

Yeah, I can’t wait to get back on the road with my µRV. But, even this year has been good. It is kind of like my “boat in the basement” in that I probably get more pleasure working on it than I do using it. Solving problems, making things better is just part of my core nature, I guess. And I do love tinkering on things in my man-cave called the barn. 😊
