One of the characteristics that means the most to me is humility. It’s strange that when I looked for images of humility for this post the majority of them were of Jesus. He never claimed to be great and that is what made him so. That thought provoked this post more than anything else. I look at all the twelve presidents in my lifetime and I wouldn’t put that word dominantly on any of them. But I will do it for Joe Biden.

He doesn’t claim to have the answers to all our country’s problems but instead he promises steadiness and good intentions. If he wins he may be a rare president who is not convinced he is the smartest person in the room. When he said the following words, emotions I haven’t had in the political world for a long time swelled up inside me.

“What is on the ballot here is the character of this country: decency, honor, respect, treating people with dignity.”

Up until now I have been thinking of him as a “filler” president until someone else comes along. But, now I am convinced he is the right person for the job of getting us back on a noble track as a country. I am LONG past ready for a different view than the one of the last four years.

Because I live in deep red MAGA country I can’t put any yard signs in my yard as they would be quickly trashed or stolen but I can do it here.
