Destiny

We all set out to control the moments that shape our destiny. Once in a while that happens, but mostly it doesn’t. No matter how much we plan it just doesn’t happen. I love the quote

People Plan, God Laughs

For the most part, I believe that our destinies happen on their own schedule, and often not even close to the way we thought they would. Sometimes you just have to give up planning and just grab what comes by in the air. That doesn’t mean that we should just give up and let destiny take over! If you do that I can almost assure your disappointment.

It means that we should dream about the future we would like to happen, and do things to make it a reality. But, be prepared to make changes along the way, oftentimes many changes. Call that fate or destiny as you want, just don’t leave it up to others to do the work to make it happen.

  1. It is too easy during this stage of life to become passive, allowing events and other people to determine its course.

If that happens you will have squandered all the opportunities to not settle for the path of least resistance, but made the most of your unique gifts, talents, and desires.
