If you are not the author of your story, who will be? No, one knows you better than you do. I make it a point here on RJsCorner to tell my story, flaws and all. It doesn’t embarrass me that I am not anywhere close to perfect. In fact, I am quite flawed and have squandered much of my life because of lost opportunities. I tell that story so that maybe someone who reads my words might learn from my mistakes instead of having to repeat them themselves. I also tell them so that you guys can look at me as being worse than you. 😎. There is comfort for you in that alone.
I have kept a journal for at least the last 40 years. It started out on notebooks but moved to computers years ago. I have been a blogger for 14 years now, most of it here at RJsCorner. In that time, I have written over 5,000 posts, so my blog is basically a story of my life. Reading my journal entries allows me to step back and sometimes take a serious look at where I have been, and where I am going. An equally essential lesson is to learn where I put things off until it was too late. Procrastination is seldom a good thing. I can tell you that as a personal lesson in my life.
I am the author of my own story. I hope what I write here is helpful to you and also a little entertaining? I also hope that I can encourage you to keep your own life journal. It gives you some perspective. It’s time well spent.
