I recently heard the phrase
Music can lift you up when you are feeling lousy
That brought back a flood of memories of the times when I was feeling lousy and my 33rpm records eased the pain. The last time that happened was 34 years ago, and I still seriously miss it. So, to all you hearing people out there, don’t miss the chance to reduce your depression by listening to some music.
Those of you who are regular visitors to RJsCorner, maybe do that one time for me. Because I sure could use some music right now…even if it is just to your ears.

I agree that music can lift our spirits. I try to listen to music every day, although sometimes life gets in the way. π Many years ago I was told I would loose my vision before I retired, it didn’t happen, thankfully. But I did spend more time really ‘seeing’ the beauty of the ordinary. I also ‘saw’ a different eye doc and guess what, I’d been misdiagnosed but continued to really look at what I see. I’m sending you music vibes and hope they help you.

We definitely share a love of Simon & Garfunkel. I’m sorry you can’t hear them anymore, but I will play them twice this week for you. π Their music brings back so many HS memories. Happy and drama (HS girls, dontcha know) and sad. I once had a boyfriend who went on a long vacation and I sat and cried to their music for days. LOL. Funny until I had teen girls myself. My poor mom.

I think “I Am a Rock” is my theme song of life. π. I have the lyrics of several of their songs on my corkboard behind me, and I stop and “sing them in my mind” often. I guess that is my version of crying. Thanks, Laurel. Yeah, play them twice this week. I will be “listening”
