One thing I have gotten much better at in my retirement years is to savor the moment.  If I am enjoying something  I try to take the time to just sit back and thoroughly take in the experience. Some call this “Stop and smell the roses”.

Over the years I have always enjoyed the HGTV Dream House that comes out about this time every year. I used to always make sure that I saw that show on TV.  Then about two or maybe three years ago something happened to turn me off on it. That is the time when the show clicking from one view of the house to the next in about a one and a half second interval.  Just as I was beginning to take in a particular room it was gone and something else took its place!

I have been noticing that this seems to be a trend in other shows lately. My neck just can’t seem to take all that flashing. Does this mean that I am now an official old person?  If it does then so be it. Or maybe it means that the current editors in video industry are all ADD. I kind of  think it may be the second one. ;)

They always give away the house but I am not one to dream that I would ever win it.  99.999999999999% of the possibility is that entering would only increase the the content of my email and snail-mail boxes with junk mail.
