My Mind Is FULL…

I got up at 4:30 this morning. Before that I tossed and turned thinking about a topic that is on the top of my mind. This happens quite often, so I knew it was useless to try to stay in bed any longer. I’m sure I will make up for that lost sleep in afternoon naps. That is one of the great things about retirement and LOMO (Life On My Own). I can do whatever I want and no one is disturbed.

Getting to the topic for this post, my mind is full more than it isn’t. I am told that is part of my autism traits. I am constantly thinking about deep subjects. They ping-pong around my brain until they are resolved. Some are deep and others just persist until they are addressed.

  • Climate change
  • Whether our country will survive 2025 politics.
  • Thinking about the rigidity of so many people’s minds and beliefs.
  • Books and such that I read daily.
  • The creative projects I am working on.
  • Daily post drafts for this site needing a first review.
  • The list is endless…

These daily thoughts don’t feel intense to me, but others who I talked to to are fascinated how I can juggle so much at one time. I recently read an article about how some people’s brains are for the most part empty until they are forced to think about something. I can’t imagine such a state, but, I guess that is kinda what meditation is all about. Clearing you mind.

Absolutely not!! I enjoy the richness of my mind.

So, I have gotten used to these early morning risings. On the plus side, these early morning risings are usually the most productive times for me.

To go a little off point to close this post, the noise of my full mind is challenged by the ringing an buzzing that is also constantly there. Due to tinnitus related to my deafness, I am always hearing a whistle and a freight train buzzing around me. When I tell this to some people, they are astonished and say they would go mad if that happened to them. On the bright side, maybe my full mind doesn’t leave enough room for the buzzing and ringing to get noticed.
