Wild Is… And Where We Go From Here

The image above is another of my random thoughts of CLA (Clothesline Art). I am getting more comfortable with these off-the-wall images (you might call them doodles), but this is not a stopping point. Instead, it is just a part of the overall road traveled. Eventually, I will get much more sophisticated with my art appreciation. That thought brings up a story I need to tell you.

When I started my project into artsy a little over a year ago, it was targeted to my “Mosaic of Life”. The 4′ x 12′ wall which is behind me is filled with over 150 5′”x 7″ mostly photos representing various aspects of my life until now. Those images now reside here on RJsCorner if you wish to browse them. That 2024 project has been, for the most part, replaced by this “Clothesline Art” series for 2025. As with last year’s project, each CLA image will be numbered and usually titled.

This new project, unlike last year’s is about learning new things as well as creating new art. Many of these CLA posts will be based on a photo in my portfolio, but the photo in this case acts as an inspiration instead of a primary source. Other times the CLA will be what comes off the top of my head.

If you are a regular here, you know the third part of my life mantra is “Never Stop Learning”. Learning about the various types of art will be an ongoing process that I will be telling you about as it progresses. I hope to teach you some of the things I learn as I travel this new road.

Where it ends is unknown right now, but the next stage beyond the “doodling” stage I am presently in studying and experimenting with the many forms of abstract art. From what I have learned so far, the term “abstract art” covers many more fields than I imagine. More on that later…
