
I’m not really sure where this photo was taken, but I think it was in a statehouse someplace in the west and likely in 2002 or so. I say that since I remember the story that goes along with it.
As usual for statehouses, I was taking numerous pictures throughout the building. When I got into the house chamber where this picture was taken, there was another couple doing the same thing. Suddenly a security guard approached them, and according to my wife, he said photos were not allowed and then proceeded to take the camera card from them. I was never approached at any time while I was in the building. What I finally came to realize is that the other couple were likely Muslim, as she wore a head covering called a hijab, worn by some Muslim women.
Getting back to the image above. I kinda think it very much resembles many of the lavish Christian cathedrals found throughout much of Europe that Jesus never in the slightest way ever told us to build. The mosaic dome above looks like what I think would be declared the highway to heaven in their dogma.
