The more I read about the history of religion the more I can begin to see that it has been a rough and tangled web between the words of Jesus and what we have today. I should not be surprised now that there are 25,000+ versions of Christianity, and most of those versions were created by a person who was convinced that he (and I mean “he”) thought he was correcting all the rest.

Being a pragmatist, I often wonder why Jesus/God doesn’t get fed up with all these folks and finally tells them to “STOP IT”. Quit killing people in my name!” To me it just seems like the version we now seem to have in the U.S. is absolutely nothing like the original. Maybe it is time for the second coming just to tell us to STOP IT.
