The 2nd Enlightenment

Many are panicked about what the future holds for them. They see robots taking over the world and humans relegated to the trash heap of time. This post is to try to do a little bit to assure you that is not the case.

My new blog over at RJsDigitalDoodles.net is all about creativity. I truly believe that we are on the crux of a second Enlightenment period where creativity will be the focus for more of us than ever before. We will no longer be shackled to a boring 9-5 job to put food in our stomachs and a roof over our heads. Thankfully those stifling types of ways to make a living will finally be handled by robots.

The first Enlightenment period was between 1685 – 1915 and was described as

The three major ideas of the Enlightenment were reason, the scientific method, and progress. Thinkers believed that reason and the scientific method could be used to understand and improve all aspects of life, from society and government to human nature. The ultimate goal was to create better societies and better people through rational inquiry and by discarding outmoded traditions.

This coming Enlightenment period will be about creativity and letting our individual talents shine.
