Now that I have a very fast internet connection I have given up cable and satellite in favor of total streaming. One of the best things about that is I can now watch many of my favorite shows from the 1960s to the 1990s.

In the four years I have now been in my RetCom (retirement community) I have been through dozens of shows from that period. Most of them are comedies. They seem to be incapable now of producing things that are not “gloom and doom” where at least 10 people have to be killed every episode.

I just love The Nanny as she never wears masks pretending to be someone who she isn’t. She speaks her mind and dresses to her unique self.

If anyone can point me to a current hilarious TV series that is actually funny, please let me know.
