I doubt that many people see the connection between the Arts and their personal emotions. After three years of being immersed in the artsy world, I am totally convinced that the arts and emotions are instrinctionally intertwined. To that end I will be putting out a series of posts here on RJsCorner to convince you that you can be happier if you include artsy things in your life.
It was certainly no coincidence that when I became deeply involved in the arts my emotional state improved dramatically.
I started to see a different shade of my world that I had not seen in years. Generally emotions are usually thought to be negative things like angry, disgusted, fearful, tired, stressed and sadness. Yes, these emotions exist and for most of us they are usually dealt with by ignoring them. But there are also positive emotions that are likewise suppressed.
The emotions list below is a pretty good list of most emotions. I hope by the end of this project, whenever that is, I can convince you to deal with the negative emotions and to celebrate the positive ones. Of course I have a LOT to tell you about this subject. I hope you stick around to learn as much as I have about emotions.

I agree completely with the link between art and emotion. Art can be the paintings or sketches you do, RJ., that trigger a reaction.
Or, a beautiful sunset or the first blooms of Spring are every bit as artful and able to unleash strong emotions.
Adding an openness to seeing art in everything one encounters is an invitation to live more fully.

Emotions are something that I have always tried to suppress in my life, mainly because I just didn’t know how to show them. I don’t know if that came from a single parent father who rarely showed any emotions, or maybe from my Aspie traits. Now that the bird is out of the cage they are flying at me in droves. I have got a lot of catching up in this area, and I intend to do just that.
