A work of art which did not begin in emotion is not art.
-Paul Cezanne –

Paul Cezanne is one of my artistic heroes. He is known as the “Father of Modern Art” There are many who just can’t comprehend “Modern Art”. I know I was once one of them. But now that I am learning more about artsy I can come to enjoy it more.
The title of this post might be a little confusing given the quote above. It relates more to my “but” response to the quote. I think in some cases the emotion is generated by the art, even for the person who created it. I spent a good bit of last year creating abstract digital doodles. From the post a couple of days ago I quoted “unknown” that doodles are a reflection of what is inside of us, and of course emotions are a big part of that.
Sometimes the emotion creates the art and sometimes, after the fact, emotions are created by the art.
Chicken or Egg?

My BTW for today has to do with the Internet and old folks. Last week my RetCom facility’s internet provider started updating our internet connection. We were originally told that the work might be completed by the end of the day, but that proved to be very much wishful thinking. It took almost a week.
I, personally, didn’t think it was necessary as I was getting 700mbs download speeds, but being an IT engineer I understand updating old equipment (meaning anything more than 3 years old) is often necessary.
