Sometimes I realize that a path I decided to take didn’t lead to where I wanted it to do. I am a philosophical guy so I also wander “what if I had taken this path instead of…” Continue reading Revisiting Paths…

The latest snow storm here in the MidWest reminded me of the one from 12 years ago shown above (that’s me on the tractor). But, at the same time, it is nice to have someone else do the plowing here in my RetCom home. With global warming these storms are getting fewer and fewer. It won’t be long before the Midwest is the new Florida hot spot. Continue reading déjà vu – All Over Again

I don’t mention being smart much on RJsCorner, since sometimes people just hate those who are smart. Let’s face it, some people don’t like those who think differently, and smart people usually act … Continue reading The Side Effects Of Being Smart

Of course, “Walden” refers to Henry David Thoreau’s book about spending 2 years in a crude log cabin by himself near Waldon Pond in Concord, Massachusetts. Many scholars believe this is one of the best-known non-fiction books written by an American. It was published in 1854. He did it as an experiment to live a simple life, escaping the complexities of society, and to deeply contemplate and reflect on life.
How does this relate to this post? Continue reading “Walden” Weekends To Artsy
