Ottawa, which is the national capital of Canada, is one of my most favorite cities I have ever visited. One of the primary reasons is “reflections”. That is, the old and the new building coexisting and actually complimenting each other. The picture above is replicated there dozens of times. Augmented Realities #5 -Ottawa Reflections

In reality, this picture is more real than augmented. One of the things I really loved about Canada’s national capital is the reflection of the old on the new. That is, glass buildings next to the historical structures. It makes for some very interesting shots. On a side note, when I renamed this “Special Project” to Augmented realities I didn’t know that that was already a defined term. But it does fit perfectly doesn’t it? Spider Attack!!

For this “Outside the Box” Saturday I give you a picture of when I was attacked by a giant spider!  Well, not really, but it was a 30 ft or should I say a 10-meter high sculpture of a spider. This photo was taken in Ottawa Canada when we visited there a few years ago.  The sculpture is called Maman and is located at the National Gallery of Canada.  There are so many sites in Ottawa to see.
