My travel into artsy in 2025 will be like high school lessons. In 2024 I graduated from grade school via “RJsMosaic of Life”. This year I move on to a higher level of learning. I certainly realize that I don’t have enough years left to become very proficient at this craft, but I will go as far as I can with the time I have left.
Of course, these thoughts are grounded in my mantra of life.
Think for yourself, Question everything, Never Stop Learning
Even as my lucidity continues to decline, I will never stop learning.
I have been studying several different sources to become more artsy. Some tools I use will likely be shunned by some, much like photography has been shunned by the “messy paint” craftsmen who don’t see it as true art.
Since my art is mostly digital I will be exposing you to some versions of artificial intelligence. That is a no no for many, but I see it as helping me produce what My Mind’s Eye sees and that is the purpose for this year’s project.
I remember the days before calculators when we had to laboriously spend hours memorizing the multiplication table and how to do long division. Electronic calculators were AI in their own day. Using spell-checkers to automatically find typos in what I put here, is another example. I think you get the idea.
Getting to Artsy Lessons Learned, in addition to the actual artwork I produce I will be showing you what I learned along this artsy path in life. I am currently reading a book about Abstract Art. It is interesting to see how many different defined versions of abstract art there are. All the posts in this lessons learned category will have the banner as shown at the top of this post.
