I believe that the quote above is essential for humanity to survive. We must recognize, and sometimes even celebrate our differences. They are nothing to fear.

I love Syi-Fic things. My favorite in that genre is Star Trek. Most of what comes out of Hollywood recently (meaning the last 30 years 😎) is primarily about violence or armageddon. I don’t know why that is so, but I kinda tire of all the negative worldviews that come from them. That’s why I use Streaming TV. I love the French stuff.

When I was looking for a quote recently, I came across the one above and just had to use it here. Star Trek was all about discovering “strange new worlds”, not defeating galactic enemies. His quote above says that if you are listening.

Gene Roddenberry thought Star Wars was entertaining and compared it to King Arthur stories of old. But he preferred his version of the Galaxy as it took a more philosophical and intellectual approach to the distant future. He saw Star Wars as an accessible form of entertainment, stating that “everything doesn’t have to create a philosophy for you”.

I agree with him that everything doesn’t always have to have a philosophical lesson to be learned, but it can also be said that everything doesn’t have to be about death and destruction.
