I don’t know where this saying came from, but I have quoted it many times throughout my life. We, as a country, and I as a person, have certainly be through a lot of good and bad times, I can say that personally the title above proved true in every case.

We must have faith in the essence of humanity that we can overcome the circumstances that we are regularly exposed to. Let’s face it, we have a con man currently in the Oval Office who doesn’t seem to know that the Constitution exists. For most of us who have been exposed to him for the last fifty years, realize his extreme narcissism is at the core of his erratic behavior then and now. I suspect that underneath the surface he has very little self-respect and since the con game has taken him this far he will certainly not change now.

Another extreme narcissist that I exposed to during that same period of time was my mother. The similarity between these two are almost frightening. She was pregnant at fifteen and had three kids before she was twenty-one. Her entire life was most certainly ALL ABOUT HER. Nothing else mattered to her. She basically died a very spiteful person since no one was paying attention to her anymore, including all her children. We had simply had enough!

I pray that these current political times will turn out less bad than I fear.
