Nothing New Under The Sun…

I think the title above came from Solomon but for me it refers to my uRV (micro-RV).  I have spent the last couple of years putting stickers and saying on the camper cap. I think it looks pretty unique.

 

But then I ran across the following picture from the Nationa Museum of American History.

I really didn’t think I was the first to put messages on my vehicle but didn’t know it had been done almost 200 years ago.  Kind of neat if you ask me.

Chewing The Air…

Snippet BannerWhen I saw it was only going to get up to 87 today I dreamed about all the finishing touches I could put on the inside remodel of my micro-RV. I started the work about 8am and by 9:30 I had to call it quits. The temperature was only 82 but with the humidity so high from yesterday’s rain I was drenching in sweat.

I know it gets hot in the Southwest but I still cling to the belief that it is not the temperature that gets to you but the humidity. When you can chew the air it just feels hotter. I really want to finish up the latest tasks but I guess I will do it in 20 minute intervals.  Thank God for air-conditioning…

The Camping Season is Here…

I made my first camping trip for the year last week. I went to New Harmony Indiana and camped in Harmonie State Park. Only about 10% of the campground was filled.
