Springfield, IL – Lincoln

This statue of Abe Lincoln is found on the grounds of the State Capital in Springfield IL. It is where he spent much of his very shortened adult life. Lincoln was a man who seemed to exude common sense. To me he was the epitome of an American president. He was not brash or showy as so many in Washington are now. If you are ever in the area make sure you visit his historical center there.
