Even I, who frequently says I get bored if things don’t change regularly, sometimes get overwhelmed and ready to toss my Mac/streaming TV/cell phone out the window. When my Internet modem starts flashing yellow, my life stops in its tracks. I will admit that much, probably too much, of my life is centered in my digital world. Since I am in the latter stages of my life of challenges, my activities are relatively limited.
Getting to the crux of the matter for what brought this post on. I was at the grocery store a while ago, and of course, only the self-serve lines were open (I kinda hate them). I went to the app on my iPhone that has the store’s sign-in UPC, and it announced that the app is no longer available as the site is being completely redesigned for a new purpose. I have used the app for several years now, so I didn’t have an alternative at hand. Long story short, I finally got logged in, but now I have to another place to put the store’s UPC. The Kroger store app is so glutted with so many different things to make it almost unusable. Another annoyance…
I know this isn’t a biggie, but it seems to happen more and more lately. Apps change without notice and there is rarely an explanation of what to do now.

BTW…
The header picture above was taken at the “Grounds For Sculpture” located in northern New Jersey. It is one of the most fascinating places I have ever visited. Here is a picture to show you the magnitude of some of the sculptures. This one that celebrated the end of World War II. That is me at the bottom of this work.

I can certainly relate to the grocery store hassle. Where we shop there are 11 checkout lanes. On a good day, two are open.
Management would be very happy if we use self-checkout, but even there, more people than slots is the normal status. Besides, that shouldn’t be my job if I choose a “full-service store.”
