I know simple minded is usually used in a derogatory manner, but that is not what I am trying to do with this post. To me, simple-minded is sometimes something that a person choses to be. In weird sense, it might just be the epitome of Simplify.

I am the exact opposite of simple-minded. My mind is full of so many things at the same time, it sometimes drives me crazy. Crazy, but usually a happy crazy. When I read an article a while back that mentioned that some people’s minds are for the most part empty most of the time. I couldn’t fathom that possibility. But, then I started thinking about it.

If you are one who thinks challenges are bad things then maybe you would be more at peace with a simple-mind mindset that is almost totally focused on the bare necessities and disregard almost everything happening around.

I must admit that I am simple minded in a few very targeted areas.

• Politics in 2025 is one of those areas, especially this year.
  
• Another case where I am simple minded is when it comes to the music scene. The last time I heard a song was in July 1988, so I am more or less stuck in the folk music mode. I know who Taylor Swift is, if you look at any news sources you can’t help, but run across the name. Originally I thought it might have been a very fast football player but quickly learned that she is a billionaire singer who people pay sometimes thousands of buck to see her sing.
  
• I am simple-minded is when it comes to sports of any kind. I know practically nothing in that venue.
