A good percentage of RJsCorner is about all the adversities I have had in my life and how, to one degree or another, I dealt with each of them. With my seemingly constant focus on those things, I often forget about the good stuff that has given me joy, and maybe a valuable lesson learned that significantly affected future years.

To become more positive , I am introducing “Patchwork Memories” (PM) which will be stories about the memorable times in my life and accompanied by patchwork artsy. I don’t intend to flood you with this category of posts, so I will limit them to a couple of times a month.

I need to do a little explaining about PM, so that you know where I am coming from. The moments were definitely memorable but sometimes they were not particularly happy or joyful, but instead gave me an important lesson in my life. I guess you could call them Milestones, but “memorable moments”Memories” just works better for me.

On my five other post categories of posts here at RJsCorner, I try stick to my 500 words-or-less rule, but with PM I will sometimes break that rule and just take what it takes to provide you with each memory. Many of the posts in this category will also include a postscript about how the event affected my life after it happened.

I have finally figured out how to approach artsy now that it is back on RJC for 2026. A creative patchwork panel will be a more sophisticated artsy than I have tried in the past and will most often relate to the “Memory” story that it is attached to.
