I struggled through 2026 trying to find something to focus on with my daily activities. I need direction and purpose in order to get the most out of every day that is now given to me. Just breathing has never been enough. After such a productive 30-month period starting in 2022 trying to now find a project that was worthy of my daily efforts has been a struggle. But I think I have finally found a path forward. Better late than never.

I have been struggling for the last two months to come up with an idea that will increase my artsy skills and make my writings a little more enjoyable to read. This new project is called “A Patchwork of Life- In Pictures, Quotes & Stories”, otherwise known as POL). Before I explain that any further I need to tell you how and why I have chosen the path I am taking.

I have never had much of a desire to write a chronological story of my life, otherwise known as an autobiography. I recognize that most of my life stories have centered around the many challenges I have endured. I am not looking to repeat those stories, so instead of being an autobiography POL is more like a collection of short personal reflections (I call them patches of life). Each patch in the POL series will mainly be centered around images that will be in a myriad of different forms, but the patches will also include stories and sometimes quotes. In these POL patches, I am determined to bring out my “new and improved” artsy side. Each post will contain at least one image in various forms such as “my mind’s eye” and other creative things.

My target to get this new series started was January 1, 2027, but if I can’t keep a lid on it it might happen before then.
