I know we are not consuming much these days. We figure we will consume even less in the future.

We don’t spend as much either. Mine is not so much economic as it is just to make my life a little less complicated. But our version of capitalism depends on ever increasing consumerism. If profits don’t go up each quarter a company’s stock price quickly dwindles. Can we switch to some other financial mode without going through some dreadful times. I don’t know….
