I Tried but……

After such a heavy post the last time this one just must be lighter. Back in November I announced that I was starting up a hobby room in my barn to set up a slot car track with Lego buildings.  I did quite a bit of research but the planning it seems was more rewarding than the actual doing.  :-) I got the basic tracks all built and put together a half dozen Lego projects and then pretty much abandoned the idea. What is the saddest thing in this world???

That is a question that has been on my mind the last few days.  I have lived for more than six decades on this earth so I have been exposed to probably millions of different situations but what is the saddest? About the Bailout…..

A little over a year ago the Republicans were screaming about the bailout of the auto industry.  The Republicans scream about almost everything so I guess that is no biggie. But it is ironic that less then two years later they are filling their portfolios with the very stock they rallied against. Cabin Fever is setting in…..

I just got done plowing out our two hundred foot driveway for the umpteen time this winter so cabin fever is setting in. In the other seasons of the year I spend quite a bit of time traveling and taking care of the homestead. But, in the winter months most of my time seems to be spent in front of my computer monitor. Smaller Class Sizes…

The debate about class sizes has gone on for decades. Some say there are too many kids in one class and some say otherwise.  When I was in Catholic grade school decades ago there were usually about 30 40 kids in each classroom.  I think it is much lower than that today but I’m not sure.  But, I do know that I believed I got more than enough of the teacher’s attention even with that class size. Creationism Gone in Catholic Church

As some of you may know I recently was more or less forced to leave my church home of eight years because I publicly via this blog said I believe that the earth is more than 6,000 years old. Walking Speed and Longevity…

Like all studies there are probably some unaccounted factors that also contribute to longevity in the study but I believe the basic premise to be true. Why, God??

Recently I seem to be asking questions that I was previously very reluctant to consider. I know I am not supposed to test God but I just can’t understand why he has not shown himself more directly in more than 2,000 years? Even according to biblical standards this is probably the longest period of time without a direct and powerful intervention from God. Why are you keeping yourself hidden? Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone. Yep, I made it into another year. I am busy finishing up my new years resolutions today.
