Ultra-Sensitive To Criticism, But…

For the life of me, I can’t understand how anyone can be hyper-sensitive to criticism but spewing it out by the bucket full every day? Most of us know the Golden Rule, but I guess to him it is “Get as much gold as you can, anyway necessary”. I will give him the doubt by saying he probably didn’t get much basic education in morals and such as his father was too busy being a slum-lord in NYC at the time. Maybe “Doesn’t Fall Far From the Tree” is a good description. Here is a more about that Continue reading Ultra-Sensitive To Criticism, But…

The Best & The Worst Human Characteristics?

I hope that most of us have an underlying desire to be a better person than we are. I also know that is not even on the radar for some. Who are you and what do you want to be? That is the topic of this post.

About Religious Beliefs…

Prominent 11th century Christian Theologians: Aquinas, Ockham, Scotus

This post is about how religious institutions stubbornly cling to their doctrine. Religion ABSOLUTELY hate admitting they got it wrong. This post will look deeper into that and try to understand why they do that.

I Gotta Learn How To Be A Duck

Going forward, that’s how I am determined to stay up with this important political season. Just let the political ugliness run off my back and not even notice it. I know all the attacks from #CO3 (current Oval Office occupant) are not directed towards me but I tend to take everything personally that I read from that despicable person. Some say that those with Aspie traits lack empathy, but I really believe it is quite the opposite. We tend to personalize everything, so what affects others tends to affect us too. I gotta get over that feeling if I am … Continue reading I Gotta Learn How To Be A Duck

Then vs. Now… The Good Old Days

This post will introduce yet another series for the coming weeks and months. I am determined to push today’s politics to the back burner at RJsCorner and this new series will help accomplish that. Setting that up is what this post is all about.

Things To Be Thankful For…

First, Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. My wife and I are, as usual lately, spending Thanksgiving alone but I know many of you are heading out to a large family dinner. I hope you get through it without any every dividing political discussions. 😏 Even though we don’t officially celebrate this holiday doesn’t mean that I am not thankful for what the Lord has given me. Here is my list. I am thankful for my wife of almost 34 years. She has supported me in ways I couldn’t have imagined. I am thankful that I am in good health, … Continue reading Things To Be Thankful For…

Aspies & Empathy

It’s time that I put out another post about Asperger’s Syndrome and why I say I have Aspie traits. It is often said that Aspies don’t have empathy. With this post, I want to try to convince you that is not true using some things I have learned and with some personal examples. That is what this post is about.

Saving The World Is Hard – Global Warming

In the coming years global warming will eventually be the number one issue for all of us (except maybe for the MAGA/Evangelical folks). I just hope that it rises to that status before it is too late to really do anything about it. We didn’t get into this mess because of one particular thing, and we won’t get out of it with just one thing. This post is about some things each of us can do to make sure global warming is addressed before it is too late.

When Fear Is Your Religion

This post is based on 14 fears that dominate many in the MAGA version of the GOP. These fears were mostly gathered from a post by John Pavlovitz over at StuffThatNeedsToBeSaid. It is about how fear can totally paralyze a person’s worldview. There are many reasons to be fearful in this world today and these folks seem determined to find all of them even if they are myth. That is what this post is about.

A Hidden Gem…

I was pleasantly surprised to come across a hidden gem during one of my uRV trips this summer. I have been through Dayton Ohio several times before but never really looked for a place to visit besides the Dayton Air Museum. What I found was the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historic Site.
