One of the most peaceful places I know is the Pleasant Hill Shaker Village near Lexington KY. I have been there more times than I can count. I go there in times of my deepest depression. It is a place to unwind and put things in perspective. As this election process is winding down I feel like I need to spend a month there to get some normalcy back. There is so much lifted off my shoulders knowing that the despicable man currently in the Oval Office will soon be gone. I know he left us with some almost insurmountable problems, but at least he will be GONE….
With this political season finally ending it is time to get back to normal for me. The country has a lot of healing ahead to get back anywhere close to where we were just four years ago. I’m not sure if that is even possible. But, I can switch gears pretty quickly, so I am already off to new horizons. 😎 I plan on spending more time in 2021 concentrating on things that give me pleasure but have been ignored until now.
I am not a person who fears my mortality, so I realize that the light at the end of the tunnel is getting closer and closer. I need to spend more time other things. More on that in tomorrow’s post. For now, I just want to take a big sigh of relief that the end of one of the ugliest periods in our nation’s history is almost over. Thank God for that…
