If only more of us lived by the words above, the world would be a better place. Personally, I worry way too much about things that rarely happen. I ponder all the possibilities but to often focus on the negative stuff.

Of course, none of us are very good at accepting criticism. We like to think that our solutions would solve the problems, but others have a different take on the subject.

After all the Quaker literature I have absorbed over the years, I think I am pretty good at not hating. The MAGA folks seem to have hate for anyone different from them down to an art. I understand that much of that comes from their panic about how the world is changing. They have been told that the world will soon disintegrate if they can’t force others to believe as they do. They have been battling this fear since Aristotle discovered that the earth is not the center of the universe.

Because change is coming at them from so many different sources, they are panicked. Their very downfall will likely occur because they cannot accept that others have just as much a right to exist as they do. they cling to a con man who tells them what they want to hear. Now that he is in office and is already doing things counter to his promises they will have to either accept change or will inevitably go down in flames. The choice is theirs to make. I hope they choose the first option.
