Be Accountable For Your Boredom?

One of my lifelong problems is that I get bored too easily. Many times that happens soon after I have completed a focused mode project. I then say “What’s Next” and just can’t seem to figure that out.

All the psychologists say that when you are bored it is primarily your fault.  All you need to do is to look back at your life and discover something that you have wanted to do but haven’t yet accomplished. Maybe it is a childhood dream. Maybe it is a bucket list item.

That all sounds fine in the first few years of retirement, but here I am in my 27th year! All those “easy” goals were accomplished years ago. The bucket list was for the most part completed decades ago. Is it my fault that I have lived long enough to have accomplished all those things?

These last five years of my second LOMO (Life On My Own) period were very productive artsy wise but I am just not convinced that there is another project waiting in my sub-conscience in that domain. As I said in a recent post maybe it is time to just sit back and be HAPPY, whatever that means???

If anyone knows, please fill me in…
