In light of yesterdays post about the world having pity on us, I thought I had better put out an immediate post about how we can show the world that we are doing something about our condition. That is what this post is all about.

I will say that given this pandemic and what it is doing to our world, making America great again does have some credence now. How we go about that in the “real” world, not the one of self-denial and pretend-facts, is what this post is all about.

There is a bible verse that Jesus says “the poor will always be among you”. Some branches of Evangelicals twist that verse to downplay his command to help the poor and to be your brother’s keeper. In this post I will twist it to say that those who are self-centered and empathy deficient will always be among us. This post is what to do about that.

I heard the words in the title from a recent re-look at the movie series The Matrix and thought immediately how that should affect how we approach life, particularly during the current times. That is what this post is all about.

Since I am house bound through these winter months I have been watching more TV. It seems as though one commercial is from a drug manufacturer convincing you to buy their product and the next is from a lawyer wanting you to sue someone. That is what this post is all about.

It seems that Joe Biden is the “fall-back” guy for those who want to take baby steps in recovering from the previous three years. I have serious doubts figuratively and literally on that approach. That is what this post is all about.

For the most part I greatly admire the Amish tradition, that is except for their practice of shunning. But, in their mind it is necessary to keep the faith pure. For me, I need to keep my sanity in the coming year and I think a shunning will help me do that. That is what this post is all about.
