Alternative Reflections – Drummer Boy

The foundation of this Alternate Reflections post is a photo from my recent visit to the Vincennes Rendezvous. He was part of a drum and fiffe corp. Why I singled him out here is because the drum was almost as big as he was. But, when he struck it with fury even I could hear (or at least feel) it. Here is to you my friend. The Next Battery

It seems that almost everything now is powered by batteries and everything that isn’t has a USB port to charge up batteries. Those of you who have been around long enough know that every few years a new generation of batteries is developed. There were alkaline batteries, then Nicad batteries and now there are Lithium-Ion batteries. Augmented Realities – Frank Lloyd Wright – Westcott

Augmented Realities #2 is based on a photo of the Westcott home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. It is near Columbus Ohio. It was built in 1908. In the 1940s it was converted to apartments. Finally in 2004 it underwent a complete restoration to take it back to the original design. I give you my “Alternative Reflection” of what it is today. Poetry at RJsCorner??

I have always been fascinated by poetry. But in my early years I was taught that poetry was for sissies and no young boy wants to be a sissy. As typical with many young people, I was introduced to poetry by Edger Allan Poe and particularly “The Raven”. The words of that poem certainly painted a vivid picture.
